Caroline Lewis-Jones
I often get asked what my daily health habits are as a professional dancer/health coach/mama. What is the routine that keeps me grounded, feeling good from the inside and out, and keeps me vibrant for my family?
Most of these things I have being doing for over 20 years very consistently. Consistency is hands down the KING of keeping healthy habits. I do suggest not doing too many at one time. I believe in creating one habit at a time and seeing how it feels inside your body. It can be as simple as committing to 8 hours of sleep every single night.
If you do too many additions at once, you will probably get overwhelmed and not stay with it. I see this happen often with people that I coach and then they get frustrated. Patience with finding what works for you and feels good for you is super important. Don’t rush and don’t force what is not there either. BUT, it is also important to try new things. If you don’t try it, then you will never know how it may help you or simply change your life for the better.
Here are my Daily Health Hacks that keep me in tune with myself and in turn, keeps me in tune with the most important people in my life.
- 8 hours of Sleep every night( minimum)
- Huge glass of water right when I first wake up.
- I drink an Elixir called Bella Grace Elixir. Feel free to message me to learn more. I have been doing this for about 1.5 years and absolutely love it.
- I eat my functional plant powders and plant omegas every morning. I have been eating Juice Plus+ for over 20 years. It is my daily maintenance and gap insurance of plant food intake. If you want to learn more check out www.clinelewisjones.juiceplus.com If you have a child between the ages of 4-26 they can eat JP+ for free. Just message me to learn more. It is a wonderful program designed to help kiddos get more plant foods into their daily regimen.
- I move my body for at least 45 minutes every day. Remember, you are only going to do the movement that you like doing. Do you love to dance, ride your bike, or maybe power walk and listen to good music? Do what feels good for YOU. I would say most women tend to do way too much high intensity exercise. Don’t forget that Yoga, Pilates, and Gyrotonics, are wonderful forms of restorative exercise.
- I always eat 3 colorful meals filled with tons of fiber, protein, healthy fats and complex carbs.
- Cold Plunge for at least 4 minutes. It’s crazy cold and so fantastic.
- Tell my boys and husband I love them any chance I can.
- Wear Apolla Compression socks whenever possible to help reduce risk of injury and help improve recovery.
- Lastly, I check in on one person in my life every single day to let them know I am grateful for them and thinking about them.
These are my daily health hack habits! They make me feel complete and full of life; no matter what the day or week might be bringing. These healthy habits just make things better and easier. ☺
