Who Is Wearing Apolla?

Apolla Performance is proud to be the official sponsor and dance sock of choice for the following companies. We are honored that these talented and trusted dancers choose to dance in our Apolla Shocks to help keep them dancing stronger and continue their dance careers longer!

You'll Still Call Me By Name

Choreographer Sonya Tayeh (Obie and Lucille Lortel Award winner, Drama Desk–and Emmy Award nominated) brings us you’ll still call me by name, an emotionally-charged dance-symphony that explores a mystifying, complex and jagged relationship between a mother and daughter. The piece exposes the cellular desire for familial acceptance, intimately investigating and dissecting the heartbreaking chasm that forms when it is lost—and the endurance it takes to transcend that space between. Original live music composed by indie-folk duo The Bengsons.

you’ll still call me by name features Colette Alexander, Abigail Nessen Bengson, Shaun McClain Bengson, Mia DeWeese, Tilly Evans-Krueger, Lenin Fernandez, Jennifer Florentino, Jenn Freeman, Rory Freeman, Geneva Harrison, Jo Lampert, Dani Markham, Kevin Pajarillaga, Christopher Ralph, Chelsea Thedinga, and Maddy Wright. This performance is supported by the Live Feed creative residency and commissioning program with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
