Apolla wants to do our part to help everyone stay protected and safe until we can be together again. For this reason, we are dedicating our knitting machines to making masks. This is NOT for profit. In fact, for EVERY standard mask you purchase we will DONATE a mask to a charity helping supply those that are in need of masks to protect themselves against COVID-19 and do not have access or the means to purchase for themselves.  

To date we have donated masks to 3 charities: 

• Rising Ground NY
• Nido De Esperanza
• DC Protest Supplies

This is in an effort to answer the call from the CDC who recommends that everyone cover their face when they leave their home. There are millions of Americans looking for somewhere to get masks and many don't have the means to do so for themselves. By switching gears on our machines, we are providing the opportunity for our beloved dance community to purchase masks quickly from a company they know and trust. Simultaneously, Apolla is providing free masks for those beyond the dance community that is in need of help to protect themselves. We have an article you can reference HERE with evidence-based information and recommendations and how dancers can safely dance in masks. We want to be a part of the solution during this unprecedented time. 

• These are NOT medical grade N95 masks. Apolla does not make medical or health claims.
• They are hydrophobic
• All masks have a DOUBLE thick layer of material AND a pocket to insert a filter (you can easily fold up a coffee filter and slip it in) for to make TRIPLE protection
• Moldable to your face

• Since Apolla Masks are 100% MADE IN THE USA (as all our products are), they are able to ship quickly.
• Reusable and high-quality yarns and can be washed (and should be) after every wear.
